I have used multiple compots in my garden to make compost for about a decade . With active working dogs, I have loved that their droppings can go into a dedicated compot; not for use on my veggies! In the subtropics, compots recycle my food waste in a week! I also use the tray/Iid to raise seedlings very effectively. I recommend compots to every gardener! I look forward to sending them shortly to my family overseas. Thankyou for making this possible. Donna

Oh my what a find these little dynamos are! Local Aussie Victoria Brun invented this amazing solution to so many problems: garbage, large cumbersome composters in increasingly smaller gardens, worm farms that become sluggish in the cold months in Canberra … this woman needs a medal! I have these little green compot treasures dotted all over my garden now like friendly landmines and the magpies love all the pottering about (waiting expectantly and occasionally helping out). I recently bought a few for my 84 year old Dad who has just newly landscaped his unit in Sydney. Do yourself a favour and invest in this fantastic product…it’s truly no-fail.

Cleaned out my compost bins today and replaced them back into veggie gardens. I have had them for a few years now and they are still in great condition. My garden is full of worms thanks to the compost bins and the little fence I erected to keep the bandicoots out. The bandicoots became a real nuisance once they realised there was a never ending supply of worms. These compost bins are much better than having a worm farm, pretty much maintenance free and a great way of disposing of your vegetable scrap’s. Highly recommend them, value for money.

I knew about Vicki's compot system about 2 years ago. At first, I was wondering how it works and whether it is a fast and effective composting system. Vicki was very helpful in explaining how it works and offered lots of tips to set up different ways to use the compot.

I have a worm farm, bokashi bins and also a big compost bin. In my honest opinion, I like Vicki's compost system most because I can see organic scraps got broken down so quickly. The lid with little wholes on top are excellent for air in to prevent the space inside the compot from becoming anaerobic. It also allows black soldier flies to lay their eggs. These beautiful insects unlike the annoying house flies, they don't bite, they don't want to live in the house and they breakdown foods 10 times faster than worms. I like worms as well but black Soldier fliers can eat anything. I compost all food waste including meat, bread, dairy, oily foods, chips....I just soak these foods in kitchen waste water (recycle waste water) to remove any salt from the foods before I put them into the compot. The black solder flies just eat them so quickly. I noticed that as I have an above ground compot set up, little birds have visited my garden to eat soldier flies larvae. So they nourish my garden with their poop, they have foods and they also eat caterpillars (I hope so). It is just nice to be able to offer them good foods as these soldier flies are great source of protein for them.

The tight lid also stop any rats to try to get inside the pot. I don't have issue with rats as I followed Vicki's advice. After soaking scraps in kitchen waste water, they are lightly fermented and I don't think rats like pickled food scraps. Also I do not have to turn a big compost bin which is not easy for me or anyone with wrist or back issues. Talk to Vicki as she has lots of ways to help you set up a successful system to use brown wastes (leaves, papers, junk mails, carboards) and food scraps.

I have saved so much food waste from council bins using her system. I plan to register to collect more food waste from other people to put in the compots.

Vicki is very lovely and helpful. I like the fact that she did not try to sell me her products but rather provide information on how it works and it is up to me to give it a go. Reducing waste from landfill is my passion, so after learning about the products, I decided to buy 4 compots. I kept a little log book and just noticed I composted so much food in just a short amount of time. I am going to buy more compots to set up in different places in my garden to be able to compost more organic waste from other people. I will use the decomposed organic matter to grow a garden in my front yard to inspire people to grow their own foods. Maybe a little side note that this garden was created from foods waste people donated :).

Thanks Vicki for such great products and for your great service.
