I recently did a preserving workshop with Bonnie at her stunning property Hidden Valley. What a wonderful day. There were seven of us participating in this workshop. Seven was the perfect number...we all got to do various tasks in the kitchen to learn the practicalities of preserving. We got to taste some amazing breads and relishes and the scones for morning tea were delicious served with Bonnie's home made jams. Bonnie is very knowledgeable and is generous in sharing information with the workshop participants. All in all it was a great day, I learnt a lot, got to meet some very interesting and fun people and came home with bottles of delicious goodies. Thanks so much Bonnie. I look forward to the next workshop.

The interactive Preserving Workshop with Bonnie was awesome. It was a small group who were all keen to learn the art of preserves, jams, chutneys and sauces using different methods including the Fowlers Vacola water bath. We made raspberry and blackcurrant jam, apple sauce, green tomato chutney, tomato sauce and pickled vegetables -taking home a jar of each! Bonnie's enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for preserves made for a total learning experience with plenty of time to chat about our own experiences. A delicious morning tea of scones and a lunch highlighting Bonnie's own preserves (and perfect sourdough), provided an ideal opportunity for further conversations on ingredients and processes. The fruit and vegetable garden, amazing views and the off-grid property are a sustainable lovers dream. Highly recomended!

Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your gorgeous property and learn the basics of using tools and timber. I really enjoyed the experience, gained confidence and loved the lunch. Leaving with a finished project was great.

This event was awesome. Bonnie was very generous sharing all her knowledge with us. We all left the day feeling more confident about working with tools and taking on our own projects. The setting was stunning and Bonnie's hospitality, including a delicious lunch was warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in building their confidence around tools and taking on their own projects. Give it a go!
