I used to attend this market regularly before moving interstate a few years ago. I’ve returned for a short stay and have visited this market twice since. It’s clear that the market’s popularity has overgrown and the waiting times for queues at popular stalls are far too long. Even if you arrive before 8:30 opening time, it’s now normal to wait 10-20 mins for the popular stalls. The pull of having ‘over 125 stalls all in one place’ isn’t as strong anymore when you have to dedicate an extra 1.5-2 hours just to do your basic weekly shopping. It detracts from your traditional farmer’s market experience where the environment should be more relaxed with the opportunity to talk to farmers without a stressful rush. What a pity as the produce and variety of stallholders are excellent, especially the emphasis on SA only produce being allowed to be sold.

First time visitors, so we used the paid parking entry. Walked from car to nearest entry which was unmanned and open. So we walked in and started looking around. It was 8:25am My partner wanted an ATM, so we were directed to the information booth. Upon our arrival, the staff member advised that there was no ATM on the grounds. But then proceeded to interrogate us as to why we were inside. We explained why, but she proceeded to treat us like criminals and directed and escorted us outside the main entry. All for 1 minute by now.

This is a “traditional” farmers market where local farmers & producers / artisans can only sell what they grow or make - locally. No interstate or imported goods. So please bear that in mind. To all the people that complain that it’s expensive, it’s your choice! if you don’t like the price, don’t buy it. Simple really, you the customer have the power.

This used to be really great. Havent been for 8 years but now overpriced with very little produce again very expensive. Got 2 pork belly pies both full of lentils and 1 cold in the centre for $16. 2 loaves of bread for $30. 5 stars for the experience years ago. 1 star for today. Absolute rip off. Very disappointing and will not be returning.

Visited last week and purchased stone fruit at an exorbitant price thinking I was getting quality

Got home to find it dry and tasteless. If you're going to sell your produce at the farmers market for top dollar make sure the produce is top notch. Have had to throw it to the birds

Could have got better at the supermarket for half the price
