Carriageworks Farmers’ Market is a popular Saturday market with a lively atmosphere.
It offers fresh produce, gourmet food, pastries, coffee, and flowers.
The market is mostly undercover, spacious, and pet-friendly, though it can get crowded.
Some find the music too upbeat and dog leashes a nuisance.

First visit to this market. Great that all was undercover. From photos & reviews I expected a larger market. Variety, quality and ready to eat options were fantastic. Favourite stalls with large queues, local shoppers with full trolleys and flowers to envy - travelling allows eyeballing only. My, & others, dodging many dogs on long leads was annoying and unsafe. Seating options in the Easter sun, or shade, to share various brekkie bites made the morning most enjoyable & relaxing. Spent couple of hours wandering & eating.

Carriageworks Farmer’s market operates on a Saturday. It’s about 7- 10 minutes leisurely walk away from Redfern train station. I went there in the morning on a sunny busy day. It’s a nice large market in Sydney, but not the largest market l been to. There’s many stalls to look at. Plenty of fresh produce like vegetables, fruits, meat, coffee, pastries, bread, sauces, flowers and honey. The market does have indoor and outdoor areas, plus some seating options too. Pet friendly market as l saw many pets like dogs there

The 10mins walk from Redfern Station to Carriageworks Farmers Market is a delightful experience in itself. As you meander through the neighborhood, you’ll pass charming terraces and leafy streets that exude a welcoming vibe.
Carriageworks Farmers Market may not be the biggest, but it’s packed with quality produce and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. This isn’t a place for surprises—it’s a well-loved Saturday ritual for those who appreciate fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
From vibrant flowers and crisp vegetables to gourmet mushrooms, honey, handcrafted sauces, freshly baked bread, delicate tarts, hearty pies and premium meats,, the selection is thoughtfully curated. The market’s charm lies in its freshness and the passion of the vendors. A personal highlight? The cinnamon bagel chips—lightly sweet and crunchy—and the fresh figs, bursting with natural flavor, and of course, a great cup of coffee to complete the experience.
If you love market vibes and top-quality ingredients, this spot is well worth a visit. It’s a great way to kickstart your weekend with a little shopping and a lot of good food!
