We had a nice fall walk through the gardens. They still had some flowers blooming unlike the Butchart which is putting up Xmas. A great way to extend the season.

I first visited the HCP in 2013 with friends who took us to the restaurant. We had a good meal and came back a few times to visit the gardens, which are in a league of their own. Situated in a beautiful setting, with meadows, ponds, showcasing a wide variety of gardens such as native plants, flowers, herbs, Japanese, bonsai, Mediterranean, drought-tolerant plants, the HCP is a haven in the middle of the city. An affordable membership allows visits and borrowing privileges to a library with an excellent collection of gardening and horticultural books, searchable via the online catalog on the HCP website. The HCP also offers training courses and workshops. Beautiful and highly recommended.
