Received soil from a local landscaping place who mentioned Candy Soil is their soil provider. See the attached picture. At first I thought there was just a small amount of plastic contamination. However, whilst I was loading one large barrow of this soil I noticed a lot of plastic and pulled it out and put it in the bin, but it got to the point were it became way too much. I then unloaded the barrow and as I shoveled out the soil this attachment shows you the visible plastic I collected. So not all of the plastic but just some of it. Beyond what I assume people would consider a reasonable amount of plastic.

This soil was sold by the other company as "Premium Organic Soil".

Whilst the company did apologise they responded with "We’re a soil and compost manufacturer, dealing in recycled organics. We receive green waste from council transfer stations (as the primary carbon source for our compost), and there is a small amount of contamination, primarily plastic, that we have to contend with when processing the material.

Whilst we try our best to decontaminate, screen, and clean the product, there is the odd occasion that small pieces will go through undetected or blow across the site, as we’re an open air operation." They appear to be acknowledging that they are aware plastic contamination is apart of their product. Yet, I'm sure they didn't advertise that when selling the product.

People may not want that in their vegetable garden.
