The Spyhill Landfill and Eco Centre in Calgary gets mostly positive reviews for its helpful and polite staff, efficient service, and organized disposal system.

It offers separate bins for various waste types, including electronics.

Some users complain about the $25 minimum charge, suggesting it could encourage illegal dumping, and others mention the smell.

Despite occasional long lines, many find the service fast and the staff easy to work with.

Zero stars. No separate way to drop off free items like motor oil and paint. Forced to line up to enter the landfill and forced to wait 30min just to leave. Pathetic. Great way to encourage citizens to dump their oil down the drain or put it in the garage bin. Big fail for the City.

Courteous, professional service and help with decent rates. The place is a dump though. Ba da bump... Good operation.

Fast service even with long lineups on a Saturday and they told us where everything goes and even helped carry the electronics to the right area.

We just had an old car seat. So instead of illegally dumping it somewhere, we came here. And they have a minimum charge of $25.00. We paid the price, but many wouldn’t. They are just encouraging illegal dumping by being greedy.

Busy day on a sunny Saturday. In and out fairly quickly. Staff were easy to work with.
