They have to be the nicest bunch of people. The staff at the front entrance always so friendly and helpful. We have dropped off and this weekend got out two free bags of compost.

This is an organized well run dump. Sounds funny to say that but if you are afraid to actually go to a town dump then be assured that the experience wonβt be bad at all. The people are nice and theyβll help you in any way they can.

Excellent experience. Everyone that works here was noticeably happy and positive. They even offered my dogs a treat on the way out :)

We just moved to Pictou County and I've been out driving around checking it out. I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet and it is winter so some great locations to visit may be seasonal. Pictou County really is a beautiful place to visit or live. There are plenty of places for accommodation to suit your budget or your travel preferences. You can camp, pull a trailer, drive and RV. There are plenty of parks for you to visit. You could also rent a cabin at one of the many cottage locations throughout Pictou County. Or if your preference is a motel, there are a few of those too. There's even a number of Bed & Breakfast. The area known as downtown in Pictou is a great little area of small shops and outside of downtown there are typical big city stores like Sobey's for groceries or McDonalds for fast food. The people of Pictou County are so friendly and welcoming. If you're ever looking for a place to visit as you travel through Nova Scotiav OR if you live in Nova Scotia and are looking for a weekend getaway, Pictou County is the place to definitely check out!
