Orange Grove Market

Visited Orange Grove Markets today. Interesting stalls. More fresh cooked food stalls than takeaway. A couple of florists, a fish monger, two vegetable stalls and about 3-4 clothing stalls. The selection of sweet stalls was minimal with no one doing cakes. Tasted a well cooked marinated lamb with salad and very tasty bread. For dessert- tried a kougnmann by a French baker. Very nice. The bacon and egg roll stall had a queue. Who knew a $12 bacon and egg roll could cause a queue. It didn't make sense. Wanted to try a beef empanada from the empanada stall however he had sold out. Stallholders selling food looked unhappy. The hospitality industry is struggling and I guess it is too hard to pretend to be joyous when business is struggling.

Amazing variety of food stalls, organic vegetables, cheese and meats that Sydney has to offer! There’s so much variety. There’s even live music and clothing stores too. It reminds me of a typical European market that I thought Sydney didn’t offer

Great market. I try to go here every Saturday as I have quite a few favourite stalls. I always get tomatoes, potato bread, manggo lassi and steak cuts. I also like the Mayan coffee place.

I like this market because of the mix. It's got something for everyone, from buying a giant box of raw olives to cure yourself to just coming and having a latte and a croissant.

🥓🥚🥖 The Orange Grove market is perhaps most famous for the vendor selling bacon and egg rolls for $10. Apparently they're really good, but the queue is epic, so I haven't partaken.

🍭 As this is at a primary school, there's a kid's playground and a bouncy castle brought in for the market. There's also grass to picnic with items you've purchased.

🥕🍎 At least 5 large stalls with a large selection of produce

☕🧃 One coffee vendor (could do with another judging by the length of the queue) and fresh juices

🍴 There's a descent selection of takeaway foods and pre-packed foods for easy dinners during the week: Indian, gozleme, Middle Eastern and more

🌱🌵 Plants are trending. At least 3 vendors selling succulents and indoor plants.

🔪 There's even a knife sharpening guy!

👕🕯️Plus vendors selling clothes, jewelry, candles and other misc, but in a way that isn't distracting or taking away from the food-centric vibe.

🚘 Parking is a nightmare. No lot, just street parking which is a challenge. Expect to drive in a few circles.

🚈 Closest light rail is Lilyfield, which isn't really at a practical distance if you're carrying groceries.

🚫🐶 No dogs allowed inside. There's a heap of them tied to the fence.

Saturday morning market Went there for brekkie and got bacon and egg roll. Freshly made with juice and vittoria coffee. Great music onsite and have a chance to support local. Ended up get dolmades, baklava and cauliflower dip to take home. Delicious.
