A peaceful and tranquility escape in the heart of the city. The Adelaide Botanic Garden offers a stunning variety of plants, a beautiful rose garden, a museum with natural herbs, fungi, fruits, seeds and spices species, an amazing water lilies house, hothouse, a cafe and shop. The paths are well-maintained, and lovely spots to relax or picnic. A must-visit for nature lovers!

Awesome. Such a beautiful gardens. So historical. It's a do not miss. Can't think of a nicer way to spend a peaceful day in Adelaide. Make sure you see the Amazon water lillies and the Museum of Economic Botany.
In fact, don't miss anything.....it's just beautiful.

With about four hours to kill before our flight back to Melbourne, I decided to stroll into the garden. It’s a magical and beautiful place, filled with birds, a variety of plants, and sculptures. The Palm House, an all-glass greenhouse, is also incredibly beautiful. Although I didn’t have enough time to explore the place fully, it was still worth the visit.

Before heading into the Adelaide Zoo, my family had a couple of hours to kill so we went into the Botanic gardens. We were pleasantly surprised by what we saw. There were all kinds of both native and exotic plants properly organised into sections within the compound. We were also lucky to see the Chihuly sculptures on display. They enhanced the whole experience. Overall the gardens were well maintained and watered despite the recent spell of warm and dry weather.
The only issue I have with this place is parking. This same problem plagues the zoo as well. As there aren't any car parks, visitors are expected to park on the street. During busy times, visitors of both affections will be competing for parking. Luckily we went early before either parks were open so we got a good spot right in front of one of the gates. When we left in the late afternoon, the street was full of cars and our spot was grabbed within seconds of us vacating the spot.

I really wanted to see the Chihuly glass sculptures and they did not disappoint! It was fabulous to see the pieces in such an organic environment. I’m so glad we came down before it closed.
Not only were the sculptures amazing but it was fascinating to learning about his artistic story.
