It's a bit abandoned. There are a lot of people with questionable profiles around and inside the bars that are there. But many shopkeepers have left. There are still a few left.

The Betim Central Market is a traditional and lively space where locals and visitors can find a wide variety of fresh produce, such as fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, spices and local crafts. With a welcoming atmosphere and friendly vendors, the place is ideal for those looking for quality, good prices and that typical Minas Gerais market atmosphere. In addition to the stalls, the market also has snack bars and restaurants serving delicacies and regional dishes. A true cultural and gastronomic meeting point in the heart of the city.

This market is far from being similar to the one in BH, it's really just a stopgap.

The place has potential for development, but has been abandoned by the administration.
