Mercado del Progreso is a 4.4-star rated market located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It features a variety of vendors, including butchers, green grocers, bakers, fishmongers, cheese and spice stalls, prepared foods, and a cafe.

Reviewers praise its fresh, high-quality products, authentic atmosphere, and Art Deco architecture (though currently under scaffolding).

While some consider it pricey, others appreciate the diverse selection and convenient location near a subway station.

It’s considered a more local experience compared to the touristy San Telmo market.

Lots of good stuff, I always go here to look for products that are hard to find anywhere else.

Wet market in Buenos Aires only 30 seconds walk (maybe even less!) from the subway system. Mostly for locals, so you can find some fresh fruits vegetables and even some coffee shops there. It’s not as touristy as the other touristy market to the east of town.

A real tradition in a nice neighbourhood in the west area of Buenos Aires. Although it is not considered a touristic place (San Telmo's market is) this place worth a visit for enjoying great quality food or simply for taking a walk.

Apparently a great Art Deco building. Unable to see as it is currently covered in scaffolding. Inside is pretty ordinary. Kind of small and not a huge variety of food stuffs.

Great artdeco building, more authentic then the one in San Telmo.
