Mercado Municipal Janaúba is a well-organized market with live music, a street market, and a food court. It’s known for spices, herbs, and typical foods.
Saturday is the best day to visit. Some find the prices average to high, and the food court can lack seating.
It’s a great place for shopping and meeting friends. The market also occurs on Wednesday nights.

Positive points: The place is great. Well organized.
There is a password to eat on site. There are several options.
The service of most of the merchants is good to excellent. Obviously, there are some that are not good.
Negative points: Average/high prices.
The food court lacks chairs and tables due to the amount of people that are served.

Traditional place in the city, tip for a Saturday outing, best day to go there, half full in the morning, lots of spices, herbs, typical foods, good place to get to know the culture of northern Minas Gerais
