Plaza España is a well-maintained and beautiful spot in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina. It features a fountain, sculptures, including replicas of Lola Mora’s work, and beautiful gardens.
The plaza hosts various events like musical performances, artisan fairs, and entrepreneur fairs. Visitors can enjoy food, handicrafts, and walking paths, as well as restrooms and benches.
It’s located behind the government house and is especially popular during Christmas with its decorations. However, some areas are restricted due to security concerns.

Artisan Fair, December 14-22... excellent products and very warm artisans,... even in my personal opinion they should advertise and promote Jujuy art and artisan work more... a month before they should advertise on radio and television, so that the public gets there in advance and has more attendance when the fair month arrives, which also contributes to local and artisan development...

Beautiful park! I went on a trip to SSDJ and it was one of the things I liked the most.

The plaza is beautiful, well-maintained, lit, and enhanced. There are Lola Mora's statues: Progress, Justice, Liberty, Peace, and the Lions, colossal works that make a Jujuy native like me proud to be able to enjoy them in my province. I give it 4 stars because it's not possible to access the plaza and the works can only be enjoyed behind bars. The reasons may be justified. We are, in a sense, a people prone to violence who neither appreciate nor respect our heritage, so everyone, even those capable of appreciating beauty, must accept the imposition of seeing beauty from afar.

Very nice. Unfortunately the artisans who come from the Puna and Quebrada could not all come, as we are used to every year, they bring their work which is beautiful 😍 Because of the intruders who came from outside to cut off routes and ruin the work of the authentic artisans.
