Detailed review: Someone locally in town said this was like the Coffs Harbour markets but that must be their interpretation of a joke 🤣 because it's nothing like it!!! There's a few vendors selling fruit and vegetables but imo the bulk ARE NOT farmers or artisans and no farmer would honestly turn up to a car park surrounded by shops and fumes and limited carpark spaces from other shoppers there for retail sector. I've been going weekly from Jan 15 to Mar 29 2025 to give it a fair chance hoping I'll see more produce (so far a banana vendor there every second Saturday, 2 fruit and veg vendors weekly and irregularly a honey vendor) but it's more food trucks, people selling things I could buy at a fraction of the cost on Shien and plant's. From old reviews and pics it looks like it was going Gang busters at Speers point previously and obvious reasons why that is yet the replies from whoever is moderating the Google comments show that they certainly shouldn't be operating in customer service, marketing or have a voice on behalf of vendors. I've sat in the car some Saturdays watching the markets movements and many people turn up, go straight to the fruit and veg vendors then immediately leave. The vibe of this new location is definitely at odds with what a farmer's market is supposed to be about and you should absolutely reconsider moving the markets in the dry season back to Speers point at least! Vendors look at the location of markets to evaluate their risk, public exposure, family friendly atmosphere and opportunities but I see little of that here and that's unfortunate for the few who do attend. Most of the vendors I've spoken to now and there's an overwhelming response that things were so much better at Speers point with sales being the driving factor and more space to accommodate more vendors. Unless you are prepared to arrive right on opening and not a couple of hours afterwards (harder to find parking) I would absolutely give this market a miss altogether as there are so many other markets around the district offering so much more. The vendor selling fruit and vegetables at the end of the food trucks every Saturday...it doesn't hurt to smile or be friendly towards your customers! The other vendor is very customer focused. Sorry vendors but I won't attend here anymore so don't be spending my hard earned on that kind of experience

Can’t fault the farmers never had a bad experience dealing with them they’re all pleasant and nice, my complaint is mostly aimed at the owner he seems like an absolute child, also the location is not great I much preferred when it was at speers point I constantly struggle to get a park and the traffic seems to always be congested when entering

I miss the community atmosphere of the Markets at Speers Point. Such a beautiful open space for families to buy food and sit & enjoy it on the grass under a tree or at one of the covered picnic tables, & then perhaps pop into the playground for a bit of fun. I understand the reason behind the move to Glendale, especially with the weather being so wet in recent times, but it's just not the same in a great big crowded concrete car park.
