My favorite spot in Brisbane when the weather is nice! There’s a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, flowers, fresh juices, pastries, and food stalls for every taste (I recommend the baos). It’s a really lovely and pleasant place to walk around, with friendly vendors. You can finish by relaxing in the park and enjoying your purchases

We visited with friends who come every week to buy their perishables and fully understand why. From fresh vegetables and fruit to meat from local butchers, you are paying the same or a little more than supermarkets but it is so much fresher and dare I say tastier. If you are hungry there are some amazing food stalls and I have to say I had the best goat’s cheese Portuguese tart I have ever had. There are also stalls with giftware to buy pressies as well. It is only open on Saturday mornings so do add this to your list when visiting Brisbane. It is just a ferry ride and next door to the Powerhouse, so look around for the quirky artwork- do look at the signs as well.

Different to the rest of the Jan Power's Farmer's Markets I have been to in that it is a culinary market with direct from the paddock to plate produce stands.

A wide variety of food choices are available from Banh Mi to bratwurst and everything else in-between.

The best cheese in Brisbane from Le Fromage Yard🙂 has a stand and there is a decent array of fresh produce, fruit, veg, meat and seafood. The plant lady who we lost contact with during Covid is there, which was just terrific 😁

Go onto Cakery Cakes and try the Walnut beigli

Worth a look, but a word of caution, parking is diabolical !!
