Feria y Mercado de Abasto Municipal de la Capital de San Juan is a market with a 4.1-star rating, located at 25 de Mayo 842, San Juan, Argentina.
It offers fresh vegetables, fruits, and meats, including from butcher shops and green grocers.
Many reviewers praise the good prices and quality, especially for wholesale purchases.
Some recommend specific vendors like Alberto Gomez for produce, Pablo and Karina Prolongo for meats and offal, and Beto poultry for chicken and eggs.
A highlight for many are the churros.
However, some note the infrastructure is neglected and in poor condition, including the parking lot.
One reviewer claims some vendors are expensive and dishonest with scales, selling produce about to spoil, which affects the overall quality.

It is very neglected, for a place where you can buy everything. It is in poor condition, the premises have excellent service

Always good attention from the sellers and good prices but you have to walk. Before or after you can enjoy a submarine with churros in the establishments inside or outside the fair. The municipal government does little to improve conditions for vendors and customers. There is parking inside but when it fills up you can park outside. Butcher shops also have affordable prices.

You can find the best fruits and vegetables there and the price is unbeatable. You have to try the churros, excellent!! The one who is coming down the stairs takes my heart, I always go there with my little ones and the man is very kind. Manolo is also well known for his churros, I have tried both and they are delicious. Go see the fair, it is very important for San Juan. The only negative thing I find is the infrastructure, there should be toilets and the place should be in better condition in general.

As for fruits and vegetables, my purchases are wholesale (very good prices at the stalls in the warehouse and alleys) and retail (the prices do not differ much from a neighborhood greengrocer). I recommend Alberto Gomez's stand, good fruit and vegetables, although it is not the cheapest, but it has very good quality. As for meats, good prices and the quality varies depending on them. I recommend Pablo Prolongo's place, top quality beef, fresh, tender, good prices, cleanliness and friendly service. For offal, I recommend Karina Prolongo's place, excellent quality, attention, cleanliness and good prices. For poultry products, I recommend Beto poultry, the best chicken and the best eggs at the fair, cleanliness, good service and prices. There are days when it's hard to find a parking space on the property, but the rest is fine.
