The work is by Antonio Pilello who was selected in 2014. It was inaugurated on June 21, 2017, with the arrival of winter in the Plaza Civica of Ushuaia. The foundation stone was laid in 2014. The work: it is an Albatross enveloping with its wings that reveals the entire history of Tierra del Fuego. Inside you can see some native residents next to the fire, and also the immigrants.

A beautiful tribute to the local people of Ushuaia. A beautiful monument that tells the story of the relationship between the Fuegians and the Europeans. It is definitely worth a visit. Take some time to read the plaques that tell a little about this turbulent and emotional relationship.

Some cool monuments but I wouldn’t go out of the way to see them.
