I initially completed a 4 week pottery class at Urth, then signed up for an 8 week class and have just signed up for another 8 week term! For both classes I’ve been taught by Sophie, who was patient and encouraging with all of us. It’s a very chill and casual atmosphere, welcoming for anyone wanting to learn pottery with no prior experience.

Zero Stars!!! Extremely Disappointed – Unprofessional and Unresponsive
I booked a pottery class in advance as a surprise anniversary gift for my fiancé, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of a disaster.
We arrived on time, only to find nobody there. We called the provided phone number - no answer. We left a voicemail - no response. We sent a text and only received an AI-generated reply. Even after emailing, we only got another automated response.
We spent an hour trying to contact someone, hoping for an explanation or update, but heard nothing. Now, a day later, we still haven’t received any communication from the business.
Had we been notified that the class was not going ahead, we could have planned something else to celebrate our anniversary. Instead, we wasted our evening waiting, only to realise far too late that no one was coming.
Thankfully, I paid through PayPal and have requested a refund through them as I highly doubt the company will respond to my request. The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability from this business is completely unacceptable. If you’re considering booking here, be warned - there’s no guarantee they’ll even show up.

I booked my wife and me into a session here for our wedding anniversary. We had a nice time, but I felt like everyone else in the session was getting extra help except for me. It was to the point that another participant came over to guide me along as I was about to give up midway through the session.
Since that time, I have been unable to get any response from anyone there regarding picking up our pieces. I showed up tp pick up prior to a class that was scheduled on the website, as directed, but the door was closed and nobody was there. I waited until well after the scheduled start time and nobody came. I have called and left messages and sent emails. I got one automated reply that someone would get back to me within three days, that was nearly two weeks ago.
They also said they would send an email when pieces were ready, which never happened. Very poor communication and customer service.
UPDATE - after numerous emails back and forth I was able to get clarity that our pieces were still there and was finally able to coordinate pickup yesterday.

Me and my partner went for a Saturday night session on the social clay wheel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had lots of fun and made some pieces we’re proud of! Will definitely be back. :)

Lauren was fabulous! She really brought the group together, explained everything really well. So much fun, will definitely book another class.
