The company carried out a landscaping project in the condominium where I live, prioritizing aesthetics over community safety. Despite the condominium having many children and animals, the company filled the garden with 9 extremely poisonous oleander plants (Nerium oleander), and others with thorns that hurt animals and small children. When presented with academic literature on the lethality of Nerium oleander plants, in which scientists claim that eating just one leaf weighing 4 grams can kill a person, agricultural engineer Marcelo Bueno, instead of replacing the plants, issued an opinion, without any scientific basis, claiming that these plants "do not pose any risk to society or animals."
